ABSTRAKSI: Kata Kunci : ABSTRACT: WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a wireless telecommunication standart, design to support data rate up to 40 Mbps. With update in 2011, data rate could reach 1 Gbps for fixed WiMAX. The name “WiMAX” itself, created by WiMAX forum in June 2001, WiMAX could be an alternative in broadband access other than wired or DSL technology.
WiMAX support lots of type of service, whenever it’s real time or non-real time. This makes each service have their own Quality of Service (QoS). That is why scheduling algorithm needed in order to give high priority data a better chance to be process first, instead low priority data. In other word, real time service would be processed in high priority while non-real time service ordered to wait at certain of time before being processed. In this thesis performance of the scheduling algorithm will be discussed in order to reach certain QoS parameter such as; throughput, delay, packet loss ratio (PLR), and fairness index (FI). With scheduling algorithm Modified Deficit Round Robin (MDRR) and Costum Queue (CQ). Simulation will be done by OPNET modeler application.
This thesis give a simulation result about each performance of the scheduling algorithm in further use in WiMAX network. In conclusion of this thesis, CQ algorithm with throughput 15 kbps in voice service, works better than MDRR, especially in real-time service. Compositions of user works in several way to give a better allocation for real-time based service.Keyword: WiMAX, MDRR, CQ
