ABSTRAKSI: Pengembangan infrastruktur akses broadband yang dapat mendukung Next Generation Network (NGN) dan transisi dari PSTN, dibutuhkan suatu konsep jaringan akses multiservice yang dapat mengakomodasi perubahan layer service node secara fleksibel dan ekonomis. Tanpa konsep ini, setiap transisi service node (misalnya dari jaringan TDM menuju jaringan paket) akan memunculkan jenis akses node baru.
Tidak heran di lapangan dijumpai perangkat akses node yang diperuntukkan hanya bagi layanan POTS, akses gateway untuk layanan voice paket, akses node untuk layanan akses broadband (DSLAM) yang tidak jarang diimplementasikan secara kolektif. Akibatnya tidak sedikit kendala dan masalah yang terjadi dalam kegiatan operasi dan pemeliharaan perangkat tersebut
Konsep Multi Service Access Node (MSAN) merupakan suatu konsep jaringan akses yang terintegrasi yang dapat menyediakan jenis layanan suara, data dan video dalam satu platform perangkat. Solusi yang diberikan MSAN akan menjadi solusi yang efisien pada era NGN.
Tugas akhir ini membahas mengenai perencanaan jaringan berbasis NGN dengan menggunakan Multi Service Access Node (MSAN), dimana tujuan dari perencanaan ini adalah dapat merencanakan jaringan berbasis NGN dengan menggunakan MSAN di beberapa wilayah yang dibawahi oleh STO Ujung Berung sehingga jaringan tersebut dapat digunakan untuk aplikasi triple play (suara, data dan video). Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah konfigurasi jaringan baru yang berbasis paket. Konfigurasi jaringan didapat dengan menetukan kapasitas node dan link serta perhitungan bandwidth. Diharapkan tugas akhir ini dapat diimplementasikan di area Kandatel Bandung.

As a result by dozens constraint and problem that happened in activity operate for and the peripheral conservancy.
Conception The Multi Service Access Node ( MSAN) represent network concept access integrated which can provide the variant of service data,voice, and video in one peripheral platform. Solution given by Multi Service Access Node ( MSAN) will become the efficient solution at era of Next Generation Network ( NGN).
This Final duty study to hit the network planning base on the Next Generation Network (NGN) by using Multi Service Access Node ( MSAN), where intention of this can plan the network base on the NGN by using MSAN in some region which direct by STO Ujung Berung so that the network applicable to various application like voice,data and multimedia.
Result from this final duty is new network configuraton being based on packet. network configuration, capacities of node and link and also calculation bandwidth. Expected by a this final duty implementation in Kandatel Bandung area .Keyword: -
