ABSTRAKSI: Pada era globalisasi ini kejahatan internet menjadi salah satu masalah yang paling ditakuti. Pengiriman pesan melalui internet tidak lagi menjamin keamanan data penggunanya. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengamanan terhadap pengaksesan informasi supaya pesan yang dikirimkan tidak mudah diketahui oleh pihak-pihak yang tidak berkepentingan. Salah satu teknologi pengamanan data tersebut adalah Steganography. Steganography merupakan teknik berkomunikasi dimana informasi disembunyikan pada media pembawa seperti image, video, text atapun audio tanpa memberikan perubahan yang berarti pada media tersebut. Beberapa tujuan dari teknik steganography adalah untuk perlindungan hak cipta, feature tagging dan komunikasi yang bersifat rahasia. Perkembang
Perkembangan terakhir menyebutkan bahwa telah banyak metode-metode penyisipan pesan teks rahasia didalam media teks ataupun gambar. Beberapa metode tersebut antara lain: Format Based (exstra white space, line shifting, dan word shifting), Random and Statistical Methods, Linguistic Method dll. Metode-metode tersebut memiliki keterbatasan yaitu tingkat keamanan/security yang kurang (belum menggunakan enkripsi informasi) dan tingkat degradasi yang rendah (masih terdapat gap antara cover text dan stego text).
Tugas akhir ini telah membuat sebuah teknik penyisipan data berupa pesan teks yang berbasiskan steganography model dengan menggunakan metode steganograpy terbaru yaitu WMM (Word Mapping Method). Tujuan utama dari tugas akhir ini adalah untuk menyembunyikan informasi yang penting (dalam hal ini berupa teks) yang disisipkan dalam sebuah pesan teks. Pendekatan yang digunakan dengan cara menyeleksi posisi yang tertanam dalam sebuah secret information dalam sebuah pesan teks. Dengan menggunakan beberapa fungsi matematika dan memetakan 2 bit dari secret information pada posisi yang sudah diseleksi menggunakan cara yang spesifik. Untuk level keamanan yang lebih lanjut, pertama informasi di enkripsi (dikodekan), kemudian ditanam pada cover text dengan degradasi yang minimum dan tanpa merusak cover text. Steganography is a technique of communication to hide the data information into the cover or host such as image, video, audio, or text without providing any significant change in the cover/host. Some of the goals of steganography are copyright, feature tagging, confidential communication etc.
The latest technology of data security states that the insertion methods of the secret text message within the cover text or image are developing widely. Some method include : Based format (extra white space, line shifting and word shifting), Random and Statistical Methods, Linguistic Method, etc. these methods have limitations which level of security that are less ( not using encryption algorithm ), and the degradation rate is low ( there is still a gap between cover and stego text).
This final project made the data insertion technique of steganography text message based on steganography model using the latest steganography namely Word Mapping Method (WMM). The main objective of this final project is to hide important information ( text message) which it will be inserted to the cover text. The approach used by selecting the position that is embedded in a secret information in a cover text. By using some mathematical function and chart two bits of secret information on the position that have been selected using a specific way. For further security level , the first information encrypted, then planted in a cover text with the minimum gradation and without damaging the cover text.
