ABSTRAKSI: Perkembangan teknologi telekomunikasi begitu pesat dan beragam yaitu dengan karakteristik memiliki kecepatan tinggi dan layanan multimedia. Hal ini tentunya memunculkan berbagai bentuk standar teknologi yang baru dan semakin canggih. Untuk mendukung teknologi tersebut, tidak akan lepas dari sebuah device yang bernama filter. Dalam sistem komunikasi, filter merupakan suatu perangkat transmisi yang memiliki fungsi untuk melewatkan frekuensi tertentu dengan meloloskan frekuensi yang diinginkan (passband) dan meredam frekuensi yang tidak diinginkan (stopband). Pada sistem komunikasi berfrekuensi tinggi yaitu gelombang mikro, filter dapat direalisasikan dengan menggunakan combline filter.
Filter combline biasanya digunakan pada frekuensi microwave, yaitu pada frekuensi antara 300 Mhz – 300 Ghz. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan merancang dan merealisasikan bandpass-filter combline untuk pemancar LTE yang mempunyai frekuensi tengah 2596 MHz. Filter yang dibuat berupa filter bandpass combline menggunakan resonator berbentuk batang silindris (slabline) terbuat dari bahan kuningan dan udara sebagai dielektrik. Bentuk karakteristik redaman filter dirancang berdasarkan pendekatan matematis prototip butterworth.
Pengukuran filter dilakukan dengan network analyzer dengan menggunakan metode insertion loss, pengukuran ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang kinerja dan karakteristik prototip yang dibuat. Adapun hasil pengukuran dari karakteristik filter ini adalah frekuensi tengah 2594,5 MHz dengan insertion loss = 1,796 dB, bandwidth 3 dB = 219 MHz, bandwidth 50 dB = 1351,39 MHz VSWR = 1,572 pada input dan 1,529 pada output, return loss pada input 13,176 dB dan 13,603 dB untuk output, impedansi terminal input = 36,466 + j13,729 Ω dan output : 33,737 + j6,779 Ω, respon phasa yang dihasilkan linier.

In a communication system, the filter is a transmission device which has a function to pass a particular frequency by passing the desired frequencies (passband) and reduce undesired frequencies (stopband). In the high-frequency communication systems is microwaves, filters can be realized by using a combline filter.
Combline filters are usually used at microwave frequencies, is at frequencies between 300 MHz - 300 GHz. In this Final Project aims to design and realize combline bandpass filter for transmitter-LTE, has a center frequency of 2596 MHz. Filters are made in the form combline bandpass filter using a cylindrical rod-shaped resonator (slabline) made of brass and air as a dielectric. Form of damping characteristics of the filter is designed based on mathematical approach butterworth prototype.
Filter measurements performed with the network analyzer using the method of insertion loss, measurement was carried out to obtain information about the performance and characteristics of the prototypes design. The results of measurements of the characteristics of this filter is the center frequency of 2594,5 MHz with insertion loss = 1.796 dB, 3 dB bandwidth = 219 MHz, 50 dB bandwidth = 1351,39 MHz, the input VSWR = 1.572 and 1.529 for the output, the input return loss at 13.176 dB and 13.603 dB for the output, the input terminal impedance = 36,466 + j13,729 Ω and output: 33,737 + j6,779 Ω, the resulting linear phase response.
