Abstraksi

ABSTRAKSI: Apikasi Remote Desktop biasanya digunakan untuk mengendalikan suatu komputer melalui komputer lainnya.Namun,perkembangan teknologi mobile sekarang ini sudah memungkinkan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi remote desktop pada handphone berbasis java dengan menggunakan teknologi J2ME.Aplikasi Remote Desktop ini merupakan aplikasi client server berbasis Virtual Network Computing (VNC),sehingga dalam penggunaannya diperlukan sebuah VNC Server.Aplikasi VNC server diinstal pada komputer yang akan diremote,sedangkan aplikasi Remote Desktop client diinstal pada handphone yang mendukung java MIDP.Client akan melakukan koneksi dengan server menggunakan protokol Remote Framebuffer (RFB).Komputer server harus terhubung ke internet dan memiliki IP publik sehingga bisa diakses dari internet oleh client menggunakan koneksi Genaral Packet Radio Service (GPRS).Pada desktop komputer server digunakan resolusi pixel yang kecil dengan tanpa menggunakan wallpaper,hal ini akan menurunkan jumlah data yang dikirimkan server ke client sehingga mempercepat proses remote yang dilakukan.Kata Kunci : Remote Desktop,J2ME,VNC,RFB,GPRS.ABSTRACT: Remote Desktop application usualy use to control one computer through other computer.However, the development of mobile technology nowday make it possible to develop a Remote Desktop application over java base phone using J2ME technology.This Remote Desktop aplication is a client server application base on Virtual Network Computing(VNC),with the result of that this application need an VNC server.VNC Server should be installed into a computer that will be remoted,otherwise Remote Desktop client put in a Java MIDP compatible phone.Client will connect to the server using Remote Framebuffer (RFB) protocol.Server computer should connected to the internet and have an IP public so it could be accessed from intenet by client using General Packet Radio Service (GPRS).Desktop server computer use a small pixel resolution without a desktop wallpaper,it will be decrease the amount of data that sent from server to the client,in result of that will accelerate the remote process.Keyword: Remote Desktop,J2ME,VNC,RFB,GPRS.
