Abstraksi

ABSTRAKSI: Mobilitas adalah satu hal yang selalu ada dalam keseharian manusia. Di satu waktu, seseorang berada di suatu tempat, dan di waktu selanjutnya ia dituntut untuk berada di tempat lain. Perkembangan teknologi dalam konteks lokasi telah melahirkan konsep location-based service (LBS), yang kemudian berkembang menjadi context-aware system dengan ruang lingkup yang lebih luas. Context-aware system adalah sistem yang mampu waspada terhadap kondisi lingkungan, dan mampu bertindak (memberikan respon) sesuai dengan konteks yang ada. Informasi posisi untuk konteks ruang didapat dari GPS Receiver melalui koneksi Bluetooth. Data penanda lokasi dan agenda aktifitas disimpan pada mobile device dengan teknologi RMS J2ME. Sistem memeriksa kesesuaian data pengingat yang tersimpan pada mobile device dengan data konteks ruang dan atau waktu saat ini. Context-Aware Mobile Reminder yang diimplementasikan telah mampu memenuhi kebutuhan sebagai aplikasi pengingat berbasis waktu dan atau lokasi, dengan mampu menyimpan data penanda lokasi dan data agenda aktifitas, menggunakan GPS dengan koneksi Bluetooth sebagai penyedia informasi posisi, serta menjalankan fungsionalitas reminder sesuai dengan konteks yang dipilih oleh pengguna.Kata Kunci : Context-awareness, Location-based service, GPS, Record Management System, J2ME.ABSTRACT: Mobility is one thing that human can’t leave behind. At one time, we have to be somewhere, and at the next period of time we have to be at somewhere else. Technology development at location context has proposed the concept of location-based service (LBS), which then continues to be developed as context-aware system with wider scopes. Context-aware system is a system which has capability to be aware of environment condition, and gives respond to the existing contexts. By using bluetooth connection, position information for location context is acquired from GPS Receiver. Both location mark and activity alarm data are stored at mobile device by utilizing RMS J2ME technology. System checks the relevancy of reminder data with location context and current time. The implemented Context-Aware Mobile Reminder has the capability to become a location based and time based reminder application. It also capable to save both location mark and activity alarm data, using GPS Receiver via Bluetooth connection as location information provider, and performs reminder functionalities as user want.Keyword: Context-awareness, Location-based service, GPS, Record Management System, J2ME.
