ABSTRACT
Asayani batik is a batik house that established in Bandung in mid 2007. Until 2013, Asayani batik does not have a showroom to sell the products, but they entrust their products to Alun-Alun Indonesia Jakarta and Hasan Batik Bandung instead. Asayani batik promotes their products only through exhibitions. Their products have great potential, but their promotion media have not been optimized.
The research data collecting methods are observation, interview, and literature study. The analysis of this research is done through SWOT analysis and it is found that Asayani batik needs an accurate design of promotion media. This promotion media aims to provide consistent information and to enhance the appeal and consumer buying interest.
The design concept of promotion media of Asayani batik aims to approach parents with childen theme on visualization. Ilustration from motif and character of Asayani batik, are developed for media promotion illustration. This design aims to help Asayani batik to create better image, provides consistent information, and enhances the appeal and consumer buying interest.
